storiesfromascene:

Last Saturday, Claychella, an all day dance party put together by Clayton Hauck featuring over 20 DJs, went from good to, well, terrible.
Two of the DJs had their laptops stolen from the green room at Lincoln Hall. With it being a packed show, the culprits must’ve thought they would get home free. Not quite. Ever heard of video footage?
The DJs gave the thieves plenty of time to step forward to give themselves up without retribution, but since there was no response, it’s time to break out the big guns. Lincoln Hall has provided stills of the perps.

Our friend Chris aka Bald E aka Bald E of Only Children had his laptop stolen from our green room the other night at Claychella. Aside from this bummer of an incident, the night was excellent. We’re trying to work together as a community so we can help a friend and fellow DJ get his stuff back. Video shows the two men taking numerous backpacks and jackets into the green room bathroom, then leaving with two laptops under their jackets. Do you know them?

More photos here.
The least you could do is smile for the camera, fellas.
Please send any information you have to thieftips@lincolnhallchicago.com.
If your tip is the one that leads to the return of his laptop, Lincoln Hall will provide a $100 gift card good for food, drinks and concerts at Lincoln Hall and Schubas. If we can get the laptop returned this way, you need not fear arrest or police intervention.
Update via Lincoln Hall:

We know the white man is from Mississippi and speaks with a southern accent and that they stole two laptops with one luckily recovered. One to go!

If you don’t mind, I’m going to go on a bit of a mini-rant. Things like this make me sick. Last year, our friend Jesse from The Aesthetic had his laptop stolen from Subterranean. Not only did he have work and music on there, the videos and pictures he had of his baby girl were now gone forever. This past Friday, a co-worker of mine was bartending at Metro and someone stole the tips out of her jar. Seriously? Who does that? Must we go back to what we learned in grade school? Don’t take things that aren’t yours! Plain and simple.
Some people, I swear.

Chicagoans, repost please. This is ridiculous.
